FURLOUGH, 1943

Home on leave from the service during World War II, from left to right, Pvt. Freddie Fontaine, Seaman Harry Benedict, and his cousin Pvt.Buddy Joyce reunite in May 1943.

Today the New Fairfield Veteran's Association maintains a park in the center of town honoring those who served their country from the time of the French and Indian War and the Revolutionary War to present-day conflicts.
